I am a big fan of the Invisible Shield. I have one on my iPod and one on my phone. They don't protect against dropping, but they do mean that nothing gets scratched in my pocket or in my briefcase and the size of the goods is hardly changed.
Of course they are vorsprung durch technik as they claim to be related to helicopter blades...
